Twirling & tutu’s are some girl’s most favourite things – and if that sound’s like your daughter then perhaps this theme is perfect for her – especially if she also loves pink!
Style this party with shades of pink, or pink combined with another colour. Use tulle elements throughout the party (although don’t overdo it!) and if your little girl already has some tutu’s or ballet slippers use these as decorations in prominent places in the party area.
You could incorporate some fun and unique elements into this party such as having a ballet dance session (whether it’s the girls simply twirling and dancing around themselves or hiring someone to come and run the session at the party) or setting up a ballet studio area with a make believe ballet barre (some type of wall/clothes rack might work well for this).
Make sure you pop into my Fairy theme post where I also included a lot of girly elements and tutu’s although I have provided more tutu inspiration in this post as well.
If you need more custom inspiration or assistance to put this party together, please e-mail me at lifeslittlec@gmail.com for information on my online party theme styling services.
Enjoy!

Wrap tulle around this mannequin to create a sweet centrepiece:
It would be lovely to create a space in your party area (or set up your whole party area) to resemble a ballet studio or stage. You can be creative in this using tulle or other material, banners, pom pom’s etc. Or (if your budget allows, and you can reuse it) you can purchase a room divider such as this to help create this area:
You can also set up mirrors to resemble a ballet studio, and these mirrors from Ikea (sold in a pack of 2 for $20) are not too expensive and could work well if you bought 2-3 packs and spread the mirrors out slightly. Of course this depends on your budget and how much effort you are able to go into, however this is one option. You could also find a large mirror to rest against the wall as well:
For a Ballerina party your little one is sure to want to wear a tutu. I have included some tutu ideas previously in my Fairy Theme post, however here are some more finds:
Favours/Take Home Gifts
These pom pom wands are perfect as special take home gifts for a Ballerina theme:
